Imagine a concert that is never the same twice. An evening where your guests determine the setlist through paintings and witness a unique, improvised fusion of harp, vocals, and dreamy electronics. Fairy in Boots doesn’t just create a concert; it creates a personal, unforgettable memory.
The Concept
Before the concert, visitors choose their favorite work from about 30 paintings. At the start of the performance, a live ranking of the most popular choices is made on stage. Each artwork is linked to a unique improvisation scheme and a supporting soundscape, inspired by color, content, or atmosphere.
The musicians improvise on these themes, interspersed with cinematic covers. This way, the audience is closely involved in the creation without the worry of unrequested interaction during the performance.
The Artists
Liza – Vocals
Soprano, specializing in combining singing with acrobatics and visual presentation. She has a classical vocal technique with crossover elements to film, musical, jazz, and light pop, and a high, clear, and fairytale-like voice.
Fran – Harp & Art
Harpist with a love for everything outside the box. She can lose herself in sincere musicianship and improvisation and is a master at creating atmospheres, not only musically but also visually. Fran is the artist of the accompanying paintings.
Kobe – Electronics
Kobe is a versatile musician. He completed his conservatory studies in classical singing at the Ghent Conservatory and has performed many ensemble, choir, and solo works as a full-time singer. A few years ago, he discovered the world of soundscapes and electronics. Since then, the combination of classical singing and electronics has become indispensable for Kobe.
