Privacy Policy
What we do with the details you give us, why we need them, how long we keep them and how you get them back or removed. Short version: we use them to answer you and to build your event, and nothing else.
1. Who we are
Fairy in Boots BV, with registered office at Morekstraat 171, 9032 Ghent, Belgium, is responsible for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at info@fairyinboots.com or +32 473 97 23 60.
2. What we collect and why
When you use a form on this site. The forms for a concept, an act, the price list or a general question ask for your name and email address, and optionally your phone number, organisation, date, venue, number of guests, budget range and your own description. We use those details to answer you, to make a proposal and to prepare the performance. Without them we cannot answer your request.
When you subscribe to our newsletter. We keep your email address to send you news about new work and availability. Every mailing has an unsubscribe link, and one click is enough.
When you apply to join the collective. The application form asks for your details, your disciplines and the material you want to show us. We use that to assess your application and to contact you about work.
When you email or call us. We keep that correspondence as long as it is useful for our collaboration.
We do not build profiles, we do not sell data, and we do not use automated decision-making.
3. Legal grounds
We process your data to take steps at your request before entering into an agreement, or to perform that agreement (Article 6.1.b GDPR); on the basis of your consent for the newsletter (Article 6.1.a); and on the basis of our legitimate interest in running and securing our studio and this website (Article 6.1.f). Invoices and accounting records are kept because the law requires it (Article 6.1.c).
4. Who else sees your data
We share data only with parties that help us run this studio, and only as far as they need it:
- Our hosting provider, which stores this website and its database in the European Union.
- ActiveCampaign, which sends our newsletter. Your email address is stored in their system.
- Without a Worry, which hosts the application form for performers.
- Our accountant and, where a performance requires it, the venue, the organiser or the technical partners involved.
Where a processor is based outside the European Economic Area, the transfer is covered by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
5. How long we keep it
Requests that do not lead to a booking are kept for two years, so that we recognise you if you come back. Data about a booking is kept for ten years, because invoices and their supporting documents must be. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Applications are kept for two years, unless you ask us to remove them sooner.
6. How we protect it
The site runs over an encrypted connection. Access to the systems that hold your data is limited to the people who need it, and is protected by passwords and two-factor authentication where the service offers it.
7. Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, have it corrected or erased, limit or object to its use, and receive it in a portable format. Consent, for example for the newsletter, can be withdrawn at any time. Write to info@fairyinboots.com and we answer within thirty days. If you are not satisfied, you can file a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels, gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be.
8. Cookies
This site uses very few cookies. What they do, and how you refuse them, is described in our cookie policy.
9. Changes
When our work changes, this policy changes with it. The version date at the top tells you which text applies.
