We hold the date for seven days after the quotation goes out. A booking is confirmed once the quotation is agreed in writing.

Sooner gives us more room, and last minute is often possible, so call us anyway and we tell you honestly what we can do. As a guide: from last minute for Out of the box, from one month for Create the box, from four to six months for Build the box. December, June and July fill up first.

Yes. We are based in Belgium and perform across Europe. Travel, transport and accommodation are quoted transparently per project. Further away? Get in touch and we look at it together.

The date or date window, the venue, the number and profile of guests, a rough run of the event, the theme, your ideas and a budget range. With those we can propose something realistic straight away. Already have something specific in mind? Please tell us right away. And we promise it won’t ruin our creativity.

Yes, and we often do. We fit in as the creative and performing partner next to your agency, AV supplier and venue, and we are used to production meetings, riders and run-of-show planning. Even better: we love building a smooth event together.

It depends on the cast size, the venue, the date and the travel involved. As a starting point: Out of the box from €800, Create the box from €3000 and Build the box from €10,000, all excluding VAT and transport. Tell us the date and the room and you have a real number within no time.

A published number would be wrong for almost everyone reading it, because the same concept can differ by a factor of two or more depending on how far we travel, how many performers are cast, how much music is written for you and what the venue requires technically. Ask and you have a real one, fast. And the price we quote is the price on the final invoice.

The performance, the performers, artistic direction, costume, rehearsals, and the technical rider and coordination. Travel, accommodation, specific technical requirements and any newly composed music are quoted separately and clearly. You always see exactly what the price covers, and the quotation is what ends up on the final invoice.

Yes, an advance payment of 30% is standard. The remaining balance is invoiced after the performance, payable within 30 calendar days of the invoice date.

Cancellation more than 30 days before the performance: 50% of the agreed fee. Less than 30 days before: 100%. In cases of demonstrable force majeure, a nationally recognised emergency for instance, we first look for a new date. Where the event can no longer go ahead, any advance payment already made is converted into a credit valid for 12 months.

Every act lists its own requirements. As a rule: a flat and dry performance surface, sufficient ceiling height for acrobatic work, power, free access for loading and unloading, dedicated parking for our team, and a lockable, heated changing room with running water and enough natural light for our makeup artists to do their work. Full details are in the technical rider you receive with the quotation.

Yes, with one condition: if the weather turns out to be less than ideal, we expect you to make sure we can still perform safely and sheltered. With a suitable cover or an indoor alternative in place, the show goes on in any weather. Where that shelter is missing, we may have to call it on the day, and the fee remains due. It is worth planning that fallback early, and we help you think it through.

It varies per act. As a rule one artist covers a 90-minute show frame with at least one break, usually split into sets of 30 or 45 minutes. Special skill acts vary. It is listed on every act page and in your quotation.

We love to bring our partner Revolution Event Support. Yes, we know, they are amazing and we are truly honoured to have them as our sound, lighting and stage supplier. The extra plus? You won’t pay extra on the bill if you book them via us. If you book us together with Revolution Event Support, we can guarantee the audio and light quality you deserve. If you prefer working with your own partner, we like to at least bring our own sound technician (if we bring a musical act) and gladly get in touch with your event support partner before the actual event. Just because we want the best for you and for us. Liability for reduced quality caused by defective power, sound or lighting supplied by third parties sits with the supplier, so it is always worth sending us the venue’s technical specifications early. Where an act needs specific equipment, we say so upfront and quote it. And if we notice along the way that sound or light needs extra attention, we tell you, because you should see and hear exactly what you booked.

The client or organiser. All copyright and neighbouring-rights costs and administration are the responsibility of the party organising the event.

For every started block of 8 hours on site, we ask for one warm meal per Fairy in Boots crew member, plus a lockable, heated backstage area with sanitary facilities, running water and drinking water. Where catering is difficult, let us know in advance and we settle it as a buyout. Dietary requirements are given at least a week ahead, by default we assume a vegan meal.

Yes. You are free to use photos and video for non-commercial purposes. For commercial use, a TV spot or a paid campaign, we ask for written permission in advance, which we are usually happy to give. We may bring our own photographer and happily share that material with you. Would you rather we leave the camera at home? Let us know well in advance. We also use recordings for our own portfolio and social media, always in a way that reflects well on you.

Made to measure, always. From a blank page, sometimes. Our Out of the box is our ready-to-book department for those who want magic done well and without a worry.

Create the box starts from building blocks we have refined over years: our own characters, our own musical world, staging we know holds a room. Costumes, repertoire, timings and styling are then shaped entirely around your event, so you get originality and certainty at once.

Build the box does start from a blank page, because a stage show, a dinner show or a multi-day event has to be invented from nothing.

From last minute for Out of the box, from one month for Create the box, from four to six months for a complete Build the box. Shorter is often possible, so ask before you assume the answer is no.

The intellectual property stays with Fairy in Boots. We always create to measure, and we may reuse parts of a concept elsewhere where they fit that event just as well.
