Let’s be honest… Weather in Belgium is unpredictable. One minute it’s sunshine, the next it’s a downpour. And when it comes to open-air performances, this unpredictability can be a real challenge. That’s why we’ve put together the weather checklist nobody sends you, so you’re prepared for whatever the skies decide to throw your way.

Our general terms: A safety net for everyone

Our standard terms are simple but non-negotiable:

“For open-air performances, the client must provide a proper stage cover that is water- and windproof, unless stated otherwise in the rider. In the event of unfavorable weather conditions without a suitable alternative (like an indoor location), Fairy in Boots reserves the right not to perform the act. In this case, the full fee remains due.”

Why? Because safety and quality are our top priorities. Neither you nor we can control the weather, but we can control how we respond to it.

But no worries. If there’s even the slightest risk of weather conditions that could prevent us from performing, we’ll reach out to discuss a Plan B. This could mean moving indoors, adjusting the timing or finding another creative solution.

However, if you’re determined to stick to the original plan, with all the risks involved, we’ll respect that. But if the weather makes it impossible to perform safely, our general terms will apply. We’ll always prioritize the safety of our artists and the quality of the performance.

Your checklist for open-air success

To avoid any last-minute surprises, here’s what you need to prepare for an open-air performance in Belgium:

• Prepare a tent or similar stage cover: Ensure it’s water- and windproof.
• Indoor backup: Have a suitable indoor alternative ready, just in case.
• Communication: Stay in touch with us as the event approaches. We’ll keep you updated on any weather concerns.
• Flexibility: Be open to adjusting the timing or setup if needed.
